WoW Shaman Guide

In the real word, a shaman is a believer of the spiritual world. In the World of Warcraft, the character Shaman is an integral member of any group that possesses great power and incredible skills. If you are thinking of choosing this character, then continue to read for a guide on how to become a great Shaman.

Finding a group that is in need of a Shaman or making sure that your own skills match well with this type of class is one of the most important things you should take a look at first before you start using the Shaman. It is important that you remember when you start as a Shaman, make sure that your skills match the shaman class and that you join a group that needs a shaman. When put in a group, they integrate the strength needed using their natural abilities.

Getting Started as a Shaman

I must tell you that the race of character for this class is quite limited. Only the Dranei can be Shaman for the Alliance, and the Orc, Trolls, the Undead or Tauren for the Horde. If you are on the Horde side, only the Trolls, Orc, the Undead or Taurean can qualify to be a Shaman. This means you have to deal with these races' weaknesses, but you'll also enjoy the benefits of using them.

Each time you cast a spell, you lose mana points. Your goal is to use your mana points wisely by using moderate approach, not using too much nor too little. It’s best to be moderate about it, not using too much or too little, to achieve more success in using this class. When not used with caution, you either waste time trying to regenerate or lose much needed health points.

Shamans are known for their healing skills, that is why you must try to build up your spell arsenal, your ranged weapons and most specially, your healing spells. If you want to become an asset to the group, whre you get protection, it would be best to study all the healing spells and potions available.

Picking a Shaman Profession

It would just probably be wasting time to work on more physical professions like leatherworking or blacksmithing. The best profession for Shamans are herbalism and enchanting. Skinning could be another facet but only to a small degree. It is vital that you find the right balance between primary and secondary professions.

You may consider herbalism and enchanting as you primary and secondary professions. Nevertheless, combining alchemy and herbalism or enchanting plus alchemy is not a bad idea. Others think that mining (as secondary profession) will help you get items, but it actually wastes your extra time in the game.

If you wish to create money, mixing potions is by far the best business for a Shaman. Potions are usually in high on demand and you could always have them for yourself. If you want to be successful at your chosen profession, spare a good quality of time in mastering your skills by formulating and new potions and useful spells.

Although it can still be useful to pick the tailoring profession, since this makes you capable of working on your own armor, most players opt to just buy their own when needed. Do not worry; for leather armors are available at Level 40 at an available price. During the journey, pieces of armors are given away as rewards. Therefore, choose a profession that will help you develop your skills for your group.
